Jean Farmakes joined Gilbert Law Office in October 2012. She is practicing in real estate, business, estate planning and general litigation.
Prior to joining Gilbert Law Office, Ms. Farmakes worked as Staff Attorney for the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in Chicago, Illinois. As an in-house counsel, she focused on trade, immigration, and labor and employment law. Ms. Farmakes has also been employed as an Associate Attorney at the Minneapolis firm of Foley and Mansfield, PLLP, where she did product liability litigation. She has completed judicial clerkships at the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the Sixth Judical District.
Jean Farmakes is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Illinois. She graduated from St. Olaf College in 1998 and University of Minnesota Law School in 2002. She is a member of Minnesota Women Lawyers.
