In this video, we’ll describe what a simple will is in an estate plan, and what to consider when including minors.
What is a simple will?
Simple Wills is a document that details how the estate will be distributed when a family member dies. They usually leave the estate to a surviving spouse, and/or to children. When considering children under 18, a guardian is usually assigned to handle the child’s inheritance until they are 18. If a child is included but they are over 18, a trust can be set up to hold property for the benefit of a minor.
